  • Is Dafina Jewelry available at any retail location?

    At this moment Dafina Jewelry is available exclusively online.

Order processing time

  • How long does it take for my order to be processed?

    The processing time for any order could vary from two days to two weeks depending on the availability of your desired item in stock.

    For Dafina Fine Eyewear the processing time is approximately three weeks.

Shipping

  • Do I pay for the shipping when I purchase an item on your website?

    No. All U.S. and international orders are shipped free of charge via FedEx or UPS delivery services.

    Please note, Dafina Jewelry can not ship to countries where FedEx or UPS delivery services are not active.

  • Can I track my order?

    Yes. All shipped packages are insured for their total value, and traceable by using tracking number that is provided to you in the dispatch confirmation email.

  • How long does it take for my order to arrive after it is shipped?

    After you receive the dispatch confirmation email, for U.S. orders allow 2 to 3 days and for international orders between 4 to 8 days depending on the country the package is destined to.

  • Do I have to sign for the package when receiving it?

    Yes. We require an adult to sign for the package when receiving it.

  • Can I have my order shipped to a P.O. Box?

    No. Dafina Jewelry only ships to a street address, not a P.O. Box.

  • What do I do if I am not available to receive my package?

    FedEx and UPS services usually make few attempts to deliver your package in case no one was available to receive it at the first attempt.

    However, when placing your order you can ask to ship your merchandise to a FedEx facility close to you where you can go and pick up your package. All packages are signature required; therefore you will need to show a piece of identification document and sign for the package to receive it.

  • What do I do if my delivered package is damaged?

    Please do not accept and refuse packages that are damaged upon delivery and notify us immediately at (424) 255 9139, or within 4 days after receiving your order at: info@dafinajewelry.com

    Please keep all packaging material in the same condition you received them, as they might be assessed for possible claims. All claims of damaged or missing items must be reported immediately or within 4 days after receiving your order.

Payment methods

  • What payment methods do you offer?

    We currently accept payments through PayPal, or by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. You can also choose to pay via wire transfer (bank wire) through your bank (the funds will be electronically transferred from your financial institution to Dafina Jewelry’s account). There is 1.5% discount on the total amount when using wire transfer as the method of payment.

    For wire transfer, you will receive our account information via email once you select to use that method at the time of check out. You can then provide the account information to your financial institution and ask to transfer the funds to Dafina Jewelry account.

    After we receive the funds from your financial institution, your order will be processed and you will receive an order confirmation email.

    Please note that some financial institutions might charge a small fee for wire transfers. If you have any questions regarding wire transfer or bank wire please contact your financial institution or Dafina Jewelry for details.

  • When is my credit card charged after placing the order?

    Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon order confirmation.

    Any payments made by credit card are subject to the approval of the financial institution that has issued the credit card.

  • How safe is it to use my credit card on your website?

    Dafina Jewelry’s website is equipped with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology, which establishes an encrypted link between the web server (website) and a user.

    The SSL technology therefore encrypts credit card data, secures confidential information, and protects passwords, emails, personal information, online transactions and form submissions.

International orders

  • Do you ship internationally?

    Yes. However, all prices on our website are in U.S. dollar, and all purchases are made in U.S. dollar.

  • Who pays for the shipping?

    Dafina Jewelry pays for the shipping charges on all international orders.

    Please note, Dafina Jewelry can not ship to countries where FedEx or UPS delivery services are not active.

  • Who is responsible for customs fees and duties?

    The customer/ receiver of the merchandise is responsible for custom fees, taxes, handling charges and all relevant fees imposed by the country in which the merchandise is received.

    Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. If you are in any doubt, please contact your local customs office for further information/ rates before placing your order.

  • Do you accept international returns?

    Yes. International customers can return their merchandise within 30 days from date of delivery (Dispatch confirmation date). Please contact us at: info@dafinajewelry.com for return instruction.

    To return merchandise from outside of the U.S. you may use any internationally recognized carrier that has services inside the United States, however the returning merchandise must be insured for its total value and signature required by the sender. The sender also has to provide Dafina Jewelry with the tracking number of the shipped package.

  • Do international customers have to pay custom fees and taxes again after they receive their exchanged merchandise?

    In most cases yes. Every time the merchandise passes a border, the receiver of the merchandise has to pay custom fees and taxes.

Ring Sizing

  • Do you re-size a ring after the customer receives it?

    Yes. Dafina Jewelry offers a one-time free ring sizing for U.S. orders if they are returned within 30 days from date of delivery (Dispatch confirmation date sent by Dafina Jewelry).

  • How can I find my ring size?

    You can always ask to receive a free ring sizer from us. If you are trying to determine the ring size for an engagement ring, the best way is to ask your partner’s mother, sister, or close friends who usually know what her ring size is.

    If you need an alternate way to determine the ring size, you can use one of your partner’s simple rings and utilize this chart to reach the best conclusion.

Returns/Exchanges

  • What is your return/ exchange policy?

    Items may be returned for exchange or refund within 30 days after delivery (Dispatch confirmation date), if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.

    Please note that the original sales slip and all accompanying product documents including original certificates must also be returned with the item.

  • How do I return an item?

    Please email us at: info@dafinajewelry.com in a timely manner (usually U.S. customers receive their merchandise within one week after dispatch) and let us know if you demand refund or exchange. Then we will send you a return shipping authorization code along with instructions with which you can return your item.

    Please remember that merchandise must be returned within 30 days from date of delivery (Dispatch confirmation date) and also the returning merchandise must be fully insured and signature required so that the sender can provide Dafina Jewelry with the tracking number of the shipped package.

  • What items are accepted for return?

    Only items that have not been worn, used, altered, engraved, or damaged are accepted by Dafina Jewelry for refund or exchange within 30 days of delivery.

    Items should be returned preferably in the same original packaging they were received.

  • What items are not accepted for return?

    Items that have been previously exchanged are not eligible for return, exchange or refund, and are considered final sale items. Also Items that are not properly and adequately insured, sent after 30 days from delivery date, not in original saleable condition, not accompanied by all product documents and original certificates, without return shipping authorization code will not be accepted for refund or exchange.

    * Engagement rings that have signs of wear and tear including but not limited to microscopic chipping on the center stone will not be accepted for return.

    Please note that every returned item is carefully assessed under a microscope.

  • Do I pay the return shipping costs?

    Yes. The sender of the item is responsible for the shipping and insurance fees. Also in the event that additional shipping charges are incurred when returning packages are received, Dafina Jewelry reserves the right to charge your credit card for those fees that incur at the time of package receipt.

    Please note that shipping and insurance fees, and all other related costs are non-refundable.

  • How long does it take for my returned item to be processed?

    Once we receive your returned merchandise, it will take 2-3 days for it to be quality checked and approved for refund or exchange. Refunds would be issued by Dafina Jewelry right after this process but for exchange it depends on the availability of the new item that you choose. It could take up to two weeks for the new item to be shipped out if it is not readily available in our inventory.

    Dafina Jewelry will update the sender of the item through out the return/ exchange process.

  • When is the exact date that I should expect my exchanged merchandise?

    We will send you a notifying email when your item is being processed, also a dispatch confirmation date/ arrival estimate time when it is being shipped to you.

    Depending on the availability of the new item that you choose, it could take up to two weeks for the new item to be shipped out, if it is not readily available in our inventory.

  • What do I do if I am not available to receive my returning package?

    FedEx and UPS services usually make few attempts to deliver your package in case no one was available to receive it at the first attempt.

Returning Gifts

  • Can I return an item that is gifted to me?

    Yes. You can return a gift that was purchased on Dafina Jewelry’s website, within 30 days of delivery to the buyer. Please e-mail us at: info@dafinajewelry.com and provide us with the name of the product along with the order number that is on the gift receipt and we will instruct you on how to return your gift. In case you don’t have a gift receipt you can ask the order number from the person who purchased your gift.

    Alternatively you can provide us with the information of the person who purchased your gift and we will try to locate that specific transaction. The giftor will not be notified of your return.

    Please note that the returning merchandise must be fully insured and signature required so that you can provide Dafina Jewelry with the tracking number of the shipped package.

    Also, only items that have not been worn, used, altered, engraved, or damaged are accepted by Dafina Jewelry when returned.

  • Do I receive money when I return a gift?

    No. Your refund will be in the form of a credit that remains in your account and can be used within one year after issuance.

Cancelling/modifying an order

  • Can I cancel or modify my order?

    Yes. If you wish to cancel or modify your order, please contact Dafina Jewelry at: info@dafinajewelry.com, and let us know of your request. We are unable to cancel or modify orders that are already shipped. If you wish to cancel or change an order that has already been shipped to you please contact us to receive a return shipping authorization code with which you can return your merchandise once you receive it.

    Please note that the sender of the item is responsible for the shipping and insurance fees.

Gift Certificates and Gift receipts

  • Can I purchase a Dafina Jewelry gift certificate?

    Yes. You can simply purchase a gift certificate on Dafina Jewelry website without needing to create an account.

    The gift certificate will be emailed to you and you can either print the gift certificate once you receive it in your email, and place it in an envelop as a gift, or you can forward it as an email to the gift recipient at your preferred time.

    The intended recipient of the gift certificate needs to create an account on our website to be able to use it.

    Please note that a gift certificate cannot be returned for cash refund or redeemed for cash, and is not transferable. Also Dafina Jewelry is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.

    The unused portion of a gift certificate will remain in your account for future purchases.

    A gift certificate and its unused portion can be used within 1 year after its issuance date.

  • Can I ask for a gift receipt at the time of purchase?

    Yes. You can ask for a gift receipt to be included in your package.

    Please note that a gift receipt is only valid for 30 days after delivery to be used for returns/ exchanges.

Fine Eyewear

  • What parts of your fine eyewear are made of silver?

    Dafina Fine Eyewear is entirely made out of sterling silver. No metal other than sterling silver (925) and 14K gold is used in Dafina Fine Eyewear.

  • Is Dafina Fine Eyewear only made for prescription lenses?

    Yes, and just like any other frames you can provide lenses for your Dafina Fine Eyewear at your preferred optical store.

  • Is Dafina Fine Eyewear hand made?

    Yes. It is hand made in California.

  • Can I take my Dafina frames to any optical store that provides lenses?

    Yes, however we recommend that you choose an optical store that has strong reputation/ skills, enough to work on high quality, hand made frames. It is also needed that you hand in the manual that comes with your Dafina Fine Eyewear to the optical store that is fitting the lenses, so they can follow its specific instructions for the best result.

  • Does Dafina Fine Eyewear always come with gemstones?

    Yes. Every Dafina Fine Eyewear bears two round Ceylon sapphires, one in front of each arm.

  • Is there any color option for sapphires on the frames?

    Yes. You can choose between three colors of pink, blue, and yellow Ceylon sapphires for each frame design, all under the same price.

  • Do Dafina frames come only in one color?

    No. You can choose between silver (Palladium plated silver), yellow gold (18 K yellow gold plated silver), and rose gold (18 K rose gold plated silver), all under the same price.

  • What do I do if my frames needs repair?

    You can take your Dafina Fine Eyewear to the store where you purchased it from, or if you purchased it online, you can ship it back to us for repair.

    Please note that the eyewear certificate card has to accompany the eyewear every time repair is needed.

    Also you are responsible for shipping and insurance fees when sending your eyewear back to us.

  • Can I exchange the Dafina frames I purchased online with another design?

    Yes. You can return your frames for exchange within 30 days from the date of delivery (dispatch confirmation date).

    Please note that returning package must be fully insured and signature required so that you can provide Dafina Jewelry with the tracking number of the shipped package.

    Dafina Jewelry accepts only items that have not been worn, used, altered, engraved, or damaged for exchange.

    Also Items that have been previously exchanged are not eligible for return, exchange or refund, and are considered final sale.

  • Is there any specific care or cleaning method for Dafina Fine Eyewear?

    Your Dafina Fine Eyewear is a delicate piece of jewelry, therefore it requires more care and consideration comparing to your regular eyewear.

    It is recommended that you care for your Dafina frames in the same way that you care for your jewelry in terms of use and storage.

    For cleaning purposes you can use the pouch that you receive with your Dafina frames, since it is made of a material that removes marks and fingerprints; or any other soft and clean cotton cloth.

  • How do I adjust my Dafina frames?

    Please refer to your Dafina Fine Eyewear manual for adjustment instructions.

    Please note that Dafina frames take the shape of your head after a short amount of usage and therefore customize themselves to your head profile.

Fine Jewelry

  • Does Dafina Jewelry offer any silver item set with diamonds?

    No. To keep the fine jewelry quality and standard in premium level, Dafina Jewelry does not offer any silver item that is set with diamonds.

  • Is your silver jewelry plated?

    Yes. All our silver items are plated with palladium and are nickel free.

  • Is your white gold plated?

    Yes. White gold is plated for color enhancement and protection against allergic reactions in jewelry industry.

    White gold offered by Dafina Jewelry is Rhodium plated.

  • What is the diamond quality in your fine jewelry collections?

    All smaller diamonds used in our entire collections are F/ G Color, VS2 Clarity, and Very Good Cut.

  • What is the sapphire quality in your fine jewelry collections?

    All sapphires used in our entire collections are Intense Premium pink or blue Color, Medium to Medium Dark Tone, Excellent to Very Good Cut, Eye-clean Clarity, Ceylon Origin, and Heat-treated only.

Engagement rings and Wedding bands

  • Can I purchase an engagement ring without its center stone?

    Yes. You can purchase an engagement ring for your required center stone (the mounting only). However, you need to provide us with the size of the center stone that you are going to use, so we can manufacture the ring accordingly. For more details please contact us at: info@dafinajewelry.com

  • Can I buy a loose diamond or sapphire on your website?

    No. Dafina Jewelry does not offer loose gemstones.

  • Is your white gold plated?

    Yes. White gold is plated for color enhancement and protection against allergic reactions in jewelry industry.

    White gold offered by Dafina Jewelry is Rhodium plated.

  • Do couples purchase matching wedding bands all the time?

    No, many couples purchase wedding bands that do not match. For example: men’s Dafina Harmony and lady’s Dafina Regal, or men’s yellow band and lady’s white band.

  • What is the diamond quality in your bridal collections?

Dafina One Carat

  • Why Dafina Jewelry offers only “Dafina One Carat” for its engagement rings?

    Instead of offering thousands of diamonds and sapphires with different qualities and expecting a person with no jewelry background to find the best gemstone out of them, Dafina Jewelry has eliminated confusion by offering the optimum gemstone for your engagement ring with regards to quality, size, and your budget. 

    The result is “Dafina One Carat Diamond” or “Dafina One Carat Sapphire” that is placed on any Dafina engagement ring that you choose, to last your life long journey.

  • I thought the "4 C's" are the only parameters I have to examine before purchasing a diamond ring, is that not true?

    The precise value of a diamond is determined by at least 10 different important variables. Each one of these variables can significantly change the quality and price of the diamond. Therefore, it is necessary that you know about these variables before purchasing a diamond ring. You can refer to "What is Dafina One Carat" page, or our education section to study each one of these variables in detail.

  • Is diamond always the best choice?

    Diamond may not always be the best choice. If you think Dafina One Carat Diamond rings are out of your budget range, then the best choice could be a Dafina One Carat blue or pink sapphire for your engagement ring.

    You do also have the option of finding a lower quality and/ or smaller diamond (0.7- 0.9 carat) elsewhere, but keep in mind that a bigger sapphire (1.2-1.4 carat) with optimum qualities, offers a broader surface that has a better light performance, and when set into an exquisite ring, it delivers better value compared to a smaller or lower quality diamond, that is set into an ordinary ring. 

    To see the result of this comparison yourself, you can spend some time and choose any diamond ring that is currently in your budget range, then with that same budget (or lower), try and pick a Dafina One Carat Sapphire engagement ring and compare the two rings together.

  • What is the significance of sapphires?

    Sapphires and diamonds are almost equally liked and demanded as the center stone for engagement rings.

    Royal families are renowned for proposing with sapphire engagement rings and choosing sapphire jewelry. However, many people who would like to celebrate their love and new beginning with color also choose blue or pink sapphire engagement rings.

    Sapphires are believed to have healing properties, and increase focus and order. They also represent true love, romance, color in life, and purity.

  • How do I know all important parameters in “Dafina One Carat Diamond” or “Dafina One Carat Sapphire” are optimized?

    If you study our/ any “diamond guide and education” or “sapphire guide and education”, which are also available on the bottom of this page, to learn more about diamonds and sapphires and then view Dafina One Carat specifications, you will see that in regards to size, quality, and price, Dafina One Carat is an optimum gemstone.

    To elaborate, the Shape round is the most demanded shape since it symbolizes the circle of love and infinity, also it generates the most sparkle and play of light compared to all other shapes.

    The Size 6.5± mm (which equals to one carat weight in diamonds) is the most demanded size in diamonds and sapphires because of a big enough surface that it provides for a complete light performance and nice proportions that it gives when the gemstone is set into a ring. Also one carat symbolizes one love, the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with.

    Clarity of VS2 in diamonds, gives almost the same effect and appearance as IF (inclusions are not visible to the naked eye in both grades), and Color G has almost the same shine and brilliance as color E (color G is near colorless and the closest to colorless grades), but both at lower price rates.

    Cut, one of the most important qualities in a Dafina One Carat diamond or sapphire, ranges from "Excellent" to "Very good". Grades at which diamonds and sapphires produce the best light performance and brilliance.

    Depth and Table Percentages are the other parameters that have significant effect on a diamond's light performance and light reflection (sparkles), which range from "Ideal" to "Excellent" in a Dafina One Carat diamond.

    Similarly, all important attributes and parameters in a Dafina One Carat sapphire are optimized to reach the best choice in premium quality and pricing.

  • What is a GIA certificate?

    GIA stands for Gemological Institute of America, the most reputable diamond grading laboratories in the world. GIA examines diamonds using very sensitive and advanced instruments to determine their grade and issue a certificate/ identification document for them, which is internationally accepted and referred to.

    The GIA certificate accompanies the certified diamond everywhere it goes as its ID document.

  • Are any of your diamonds enhanced, modified, or treated in any way?

    No. All diamonds offered by Dafina Jewelry are 100% natural and untreated.

Appraisal

  • Does Dafina Jewelry provide appraisal or insurance?

    Dafina Jewelry provides appraisal certificate for items valued at $1000 or higher. You can obtain insurance for your Dafina Jewelry items using the appraisal certificate, however Dafina Jewelry does not provide any jewelry insurance.
